What is Google TV?

Google Tv is both televtistion and internet, along with other features where you can access over 40,000 shows and movies whenever you want with Netflix ($8.99 a month) or Amazon Video On Demand (shows start at 99 cents!). Google tv is around the price of $500 and $299. You can get Google Tv by way of a standalone TV, or a separate box to use with your current HDTV. The google tv package comes with apps, access to the web, and features such as your phone being the remote control, and much more. I would purchase google tv because it has so many features regular cable does not offer, and it would be much easier to control what you want to watch!

Today is Octobor 15th, and Oakleaf has a home football game. Tonight i plan to go to the game and afterwards hang out with friends. Tomorrow is also a busy day because my friend is having a birthday party so i will be there for most of the day. I think my weekend will be good, because i dont have much homework, I only have to finish up a Powerpoint for science. Also, starting next week is SPIRIT WEEK at school.
With next week being spirit week, i’m planning on dressing up for decades day, and probably tacky tourists. Spirit week is always fun because you get to have a good time, along with laugh at others and enjoy the day. Oakleaf also has another home game that thursday which ill probably attend, and we have a 3 day weekend. Next week is going to be fun, and will go by really fast. Hopefully this weekend, and next week goes as good as i hope!

The Biggest Issues Teens Face

Today teens face issues with bad influences, bullies, and stress from all the homework they have each night of the week. To start off, most kids can agree that they just want to fit in. They all want the chance to have friends, and be able to just be themseleves without being picked on or put down on how there personality is. With trying to fit in, some kids will try to impress others and be put under the influence of smoking, or even bulling other because they think its “cool”. To overcome this problem teens need to just understand that true friends evolve when your accepted as just being yourself. Another issue teens face in todays world are bullies.
In todays schools, bullies are all around. From the internet, to verbal abuse, and finally physical bullying. Bulling another person makes the person feel powerful but usually has alot of bad things happened to them that they need to fulfill this power. Kids should understand to tell an adult to try and get the bulling to stop. The last issue teens have today is stress from school work. Today, many kids are given hours of homework a night for each subject. This can be very difficult on a teens life because they sometimes need a break from work, and also have extra activities. Teens do have issues in their life but can overcome these issues by finding solutions and talking to others about how to fix the problem.

The Adventures of Zebb

The cartoon is about a space character that encounters adventures in space while solving problems to help others. Zebb is the main character that is appreciated by all the aliens of the galaxy and everyone looks up to him. However, there is always a group of enemys that wants to take down the hero, so in each episode Zebb must face his enemys with the help of his few sidekicks. Zebb is not inspired by anyone in my life, but is like the other cartoon characters that try there best to solve problems in their world, along with add humor. Zebb’s appearence is a green slimy alien, with many scales on his body, sharp razor teeth, and is not very tall. He also has six legs, and is only 17 years old. His best friend is named Astro which becomes Zebbs sidekick. Astro also has a sister who is named Aries and they are twins. No one knows the typical space schooled student is a super hero who saves the day but he still enjoys helping the galaxy with the powers that he has.

Episode 1:
The first episode starts out describing Zebb. The year is 4,300 and life is living thoughout the stars in space. The cartoon begins to tell how he is the normal “space” alien teenager and enjoys his schooling. It also explains who is only best friend is named Astro and they have known each other since they were born. The two would never keep secrets from each other, but one day a comet slashed through Zebbs house which changed Zebbs alien DNA which gave him unique strength and powers, almost like spiderman. The next day after the accident, he hides the truth from telling his best friend Astro and decides to practice his new powers.
A few weeks go by and astro beings to realize maybe he became powerful for a reason and starts to fight off criminals in space. This is where problems occur and Astro sees the new superhero is his best friend after seeing a glimpse of his face on the news. No one pays much attenting to this detail but Astro knows for a fact that it is his bestfriend. Astro is so angry about what has happend and why his best friend did not tell him the truth on why he has powers and begins to think that maybe they aren’t as good as friends as he thought. Astro then plans to ask him the question whether he is really a superhero to find out the truth. The next day arrives and immediately Astro confronts Zebb. The truth comes out and Zebb is not sure whether to tell the truth or not. Astro could maybe stay as Zebbs bestfriend and become a sidekick, or possibly his worst enemy.

My Favorite Things About Fall Are…

My favorite things about fall are the holidays, family get togethers, football games, and the weather. The holidays are great because I get vaction time off school, and also because I get to see some of my family that vists for Holidays such as Thanksgiving. Football games are another thing that i like about fall. With the football season happening I am able to go to the games and watch, and also be with my friends. The last thing i enjoy about the fall season is the weather. The weather begins to get less hot and humid and its nice to have a break from all the hot weather! Fall is a great season that i like, and probably one of my favorite times of the year.

My Labor Day Weekend

Since yesturday (September 2nd) was my 16th birthday i will be celebrating it over the Labor Day Weekend. I plan to go out to the st. johns town center and go out to dinner one of the days. I also might go buy some new clothes, and just relax over the days we have off. This weekend will be fun and hopefully i get some cool presents that i will like. I hope to have a goodweekend and I’m glad we have the extra day off.

Things that make me laugh

There are many things that make me laugh. One of the main things that make me laugh are my friends. Being with your friends and just talking is always fun, and almost everytime you talk to them they get you to laugh or you laugh with them. Most of my friends make jokes or find something to talk about that is exciting, so its always good to be around them.
Another thing that is hilarous to me is almost any youtube video, where people are trying to be funny. These people are very entertaining to watch and always give me a laugh the first time i watch them. I don’t have a favorite video since there are so many, but the ones with over 1 million views are usually the best to watch. Also a lot of the reality TV shows that are on are sometimes funny, and i enjoy watching those to.

My First Two Weeks Of School

The first day of school was Aug. 16th and it was exciting to go to school since it was brand new and everyone couldn’t wait to see how it would be. So far the first 2 weeks have been good, and i like all of my classes. On top of liking my classes i also like all of my teachers. They all seem to enjoy being with their students everyday, and like teaching us. So far i have not had too much homework which is a good thing and I like going to all of my classes, none of them are boring to me. My most challenging class so far would have to be AP World History. This class requires a lot of reading and note taking, which now that we have our books we have reading homework almost every night. So far in these first two weeks of school i have not made too many new friends, but i already know most of the people from both 9th grade at Orange Park High, and Oakleaf Jr. High. Also, last week we had the first football game ever at Oakleaf High School and it was very fun experience. Although we lost, I still had a great time being with friends and watching the game. So far Oakleaf High School has been great and I really enjoy this school. I can’t wait to see how it will be towards the end of the year and hope it will be as enjoyable as it is now.
